Reserved group tours

Group tour reservations are required for parties of 10 or more, school and community groups, non-profit organizations, camps, and tour companies. Fees may apply, please see the fee schedule available at the bottom of this page.

Elementary school tours (K-5th grade) are no longer available through the Visitor Center. Please see our CalKids page for information on self-guided elementary school tours.

Private tours are also offered for guests who would like a more intimate campus experience. A fee will be assessed. Please make private tour reservations through the automated group tour reservation system.

Group tour days and times

Group tours are available for the spring, summer, and fall semesters. Group tours are not available during break periods between semesters, the first few weeks of a semester, or during finals. Group tours are not available on weekends.

Tours are available at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tours are 90 minutes in duration except those for middle school groups, which are 60 minutes long.

Reservations are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Reservation and Tour Schedule

Spring 2013

Group tours will be offered on weekdays, February 11-May 3, 2013.
Group tour reservations may be made online starting Tuesday, January 15, 2013.
No group tours will be offered on Presidents' Day, Monday, February 18 and during Spring Break, March 25-29.

Summer 2013

Group tours will be offered on weekdays, May 28-August 2, 2013.
Group tour reservations may be made online beginning in early May.
No group tours will be offered on Independence Day, Thursday, July 4.

Fees

Tours are free to California middle school, high school, and college groups. For private, nonprofit, and out-of-state school groups, the following fees will be assessed:

1-35 people: $50
36-50 people: $70
51-70 people: $90
71-100 people: $110
100+ people: Please contact the tour coordinator at (510) 642-5216

UC Berkeley Departments will be charged a reduced fee of $25 per 35 persons.

Reservations

Group tours must be reserved two weeks in advance through our automated online reservation system. Reservations are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis. The Visitor Center is not able to provide tours other than those found on the reservation calendar.
